H1N1 in Bintulu

A firt case of H1N1 is now spreaded to Bintulu. It was brought in by a student who had returned from Australia on flight MH 2742 flying from KL to Bintulu on the 25th of June, 2009.

At the moment the sick student is quarantine in the Bintulu Hospital.

There were 80 other passengers on the same flight.

A lady passenger on the flight called me this morning on what she should do. From my twitting just now any person in contact with the sick person can call 086 3365222 giving them your name, phone number and addresss, the Policlinic Operation Room staff will call/come to see you.

When the lady receieved the call from the operation room staff, he said that she sat too far from the sick person so she is ok. what do you think?

  1. she should at least be given a check up. I mean they are all in the same airplane for about 2 hours.

  2. According to a lady, it is understood that in Kuching when a person in a flight is bound to carry H1N1, whole flight people were brought to hospital and quarantined, and all family members are to quarantine themselves at home. What is happening in Bintulu?
